Community Spaces Northampton held Rectory Farm Community Fun Day last month in partnership with Rectory Farm Residents Association. This was our first community event since before the pandemic – it was great to be back doing what we love with our local communities and to officially open and celebrate our extension at Rectory Farm Community Centre.

We are pleased to say that the event was a great success, with over 400 people through the doors throughout the day. The event oozed community spirit and was a real chance for local families to enjoy their new community facility.

From a bouncy castle, crafts, music, penalty shoot out, encounters with snakes and spiders, food for all the family provided by the Rapid Relief Team, karate demonstrations and much more – everything was free for the local community to enjoy. The Mayor of Northampton, Cllr Rufia Ashraf, opened the event, and the new hall was officially opened by our MP Andrew Lewer.

Huge thanks to Northampton Town Council and Cllr Holland-Delamere for providing funding towards the event, and to Rectory Farm Residents Association and all partners who took part and supported us.
