Community Spaces Northampton are recruiting a Community Hub Coordinator, who will develop and deliver our new Community Hub offer, beginning with three locations across the town. Our Community Hubs will support local people living around our community centres to access services at a neighbourhood level, and support people through the process of recovering from the effects of the pandemic.
The purpose of the role is to provide both community development and venue management, ensuring the smooth and safe running of our community hub programme, and provide a welcoming environment for all users. The successful candidate will support members of the public attending the weekly hub sessions, build relationships and trust, and have an understanding of community issues.
A major part of the role will be making referrals and signposting to services, and therefore an understanding of the statutory services including the welfare system and housing, as well as other support services available across the town is desirable.
